You’re not coming to therapy for things to stay the same. We get that.
Here’s how we make sure you get the support you need.
our therapy process
Effective therapy helps you to answer these three questions:
Are trained in research-backed approaches
(the kinds that have a track record of helping people)
Have accredited qualifications that are recognised by regulatory bodies
(hint - random online courses don’t make the cut)
Are members of regulatory bodies
(this means they must uphold certain
professional and ethical standards)Are regularly supervised by other, experienced psychotherapists
(to make sure that their work continues to be of the highest standard)
It takes a skilled therapist to offer this kind of therapy. That’s why all our psychotherapists:
our approaches
Our psychologists are trained in lots of different approaches. Here are some of our favourites:
dialectical behavioural
therapy
DBT is about learning how to handle your emotions without letting them take over. It teaches practical skills that you can use to help you identify, feel, and express your emotions with more confidence.
If you feel big, struggle to understand your emotions, or feel like you want to learn more effective ways of channelling them - this could be a great one for you.
psychodynamic interpersonal therapy
PIT allows you to uncover the deeper why behind behind your emotions and your relationships.
Sometimes, we find ourselves reacting in ways we don’t fully understand, or feeling stuck in difficult dynamics.
PIT helps you explore these emotional experiences in real time, making sense of where they come from and how they shape your interactions.
acceptance and commitment therapy
ACT focuses on connecting you with your values, so you can start building a life which feels more meaningful, and ultimately more aligned to you.
It teaches you how to make space for discomfort, without it steering the ship, so you can take action that reflects who you are and what’s important. If life has been feeling lacklustre but you can’t put a finger on why - ACT can offer a new perspective.
compassion-focused therapy
CFT is about quieting your inner critic and learning to treat yourself the way you would a friend.
If you tend to be hard on yourself, feel stuck in shame, or struggle to let go of self-blame, CFT helps you build a different way of relating to yourself.
Through CFT, you’ll learn how to shift out of that self-attack cycle and develop a mindset that’s supportive, resilient, and (importantly) compassionate.
cognitive analytical therapy
CAT is all about relationships. Think of it like mapping out your habits and usual roles in relationships.
It’s a mixture of trying to understand where these patterns started, and helping you find ways of breaking out of any tricky cycles.
If you’re noticing that you keep falling into familiar patterns of relationships and feelings, this might be a helpful one for you.
cognitive behavioural
therapy
CBT helps you untangle the thought loops that can mess with your mood and behaviour. It’s basically about spotting the patterns that keep you stuck — like overthinking or being self-critical — and learning how to challenge them.
CBT has more of a focus on the here-and-now, so can be a fit if you don’t want to spend too much time delving into the past.
